Act quickly. The first hours matter most.
- Call your bank or wallet company at once. Tell them the transfer was fraud and ask them to block or recall it. Ask for a complaint number.
- If you shared an OTP, PIN or password, change your passwords immediately, block the card or wallet, and sign out other devices. For your BUY.net.pk account, see check logged-in devices.
- Keep the evidence. Do not delete the chat. Save the ad link, the phone numbers, account numbers, receipts and screenshots.
- Report to the authorities. File a complaint with the police and with the national cyber crime authority. Take your evidence with you.
- Report it to us. Use Report on the ad and in the chat, or contact us with the details. We can suspend the account, block the number and keep records for a lawful request from investigators.
What we can and cannot do
- We can remove the ad, suspend the account and stop the same person posting again.
- We cannot recover money you sent. BUY.net.pk does not handle payments between users.
- We share user information with investigators only through a lawful request.
Do not be fooled twice
After a scam, someone may contact you offering to "recover your money" for a fee, or claiming to be from BUY.net.pk, a bank or the police. This is usually the same fraudsters. We never charge to handle a report.
