Chat is the main way to talk on BUY.net.pk. It keeps your number private until you choose to share it, and it keeps a record.
Starting a chat
Open an ad and choose chat. You need to be logged in. Each ad has its own conversation, so you always know which item a message is about. All your conversations are in your inbox, with unread ones marked.
In a conversation
- Send text and photos.
- Where the seller allows it, send an offer.
- See when the other person was last active, if they have chosen to show it.
You are notified of new messages according to your notification settings.
Staying safe in chat
- Keep the conversation here. Be careful with anyone who insists on moving to another app at once.
- Do not open payment or "courier" links, and never share an OTP, password or card details.
- A reminder at the top of each chat repeats the main safety rules.
- If someone is abusive or suspicious, report or block them.
Privacy
Chats are private. Messages pass automatic scam checks, and our staff can open a conversation only with a recorded reason, such as a report. See the privacy policy.
