Two minutes with the ad can save you a wasted trip.
Look at
- Photos: are they of the real item, from several angles? Pictures that look like they come from a catalogue or another website are a warning for a used item.
- Price: compare with similar ads in your city. Far below the market usually means a problem or a scam.
- Details: a serious seller fills in the fields. Note what is marked as declared by the seller, such as PTA status or mileage; you will check these yourself.
- Seller: open the profile. See the badges (phone, ID or business verified), how long they have been a member, their other ads and any reviews.
- Location: is the item in your city, or will it "be sent"?
Warning signs
- The seller asks for a token, advance or delivery charge before you see the item.
- They are "out of city" or "abroad" and offer to courier it.
- They push you to decide immediately.
- They send links, or ask for a code sent to your phone.
Badges tell you what we checked, not that a deal is safe. Read verification explained and the safety center.
