Marketplace rules

Last updated: 8 October 2026 Governing law: Pakistan

Mukhtasar: Sirf apni asal cheez ya service ki ad lagayein, sahi category aur sahi city mein, asal photos aur asal price ke sath. Aik cheez ki aik hi ad. Mamnoo cheezein, dhoka, gaali aur spam par ad hata di jati hai aur account band ho sakta hai.

These rules apply to every ad, store, provider profile, chat message and review on BUY.net.pk. They exist so that buyers can trust what they see and honest sellers are not buried under spam. By posting you agree to them and to our terms and conditions.

Who can post

  • You must be 18 or older and able to make a legal agreement in Pakistan.
  • One person, one personal account. A business should use a business store instead of several personal accounts.
  • Use your real name and a phone number or email that you control. Do not pretend to be another person, a company you do not represent, or BUY.net.pk staff.

What an ad must be

  • Real and available. The item exists, you own it or have the owner's permission to sell it, and it is available now.
  • In Pakistan. The item or service is located in the city and area you select.
  • In the right category. A wrong category hides your ad from the right buyers and may get it rejected.
  • One ad per item. Do not post the same item again in another category or city, or repost it while the first ad is still live. Renew or edit the existing ad instead.
  • One item, or one clear set, per ad. A shop with many different products should post them separately or open a business store.

Titles and descriptions

  • Say what the item is: brand, model, size, year and condition. Write in English, Urdu or Roman Urdu.
  • Do not write in all capital letters or fill the title with symbols, repeated words or unrelated search terms.
  • Describe faults honestly. Hiding a known defect, an accident, a block or a missing document is misleading and breaks these rules.
  • Do not put phone numbers, email addresses or links in the title or description. Use the contact options of the ad; that is how we keep numbers away from scrapers.
  • Do not promote another website, app, page or group.

Photos

  • Use your own photos of the actual item. Catalogue or internet photos are allowed only for new, sealed products sold by a business.
  • No watermarks or logos of other websites, no contact details written on the photo, no collages that hide the item.
  • No photos of other people without their consent, no nudity, and no images of identity documents, bank cards or registration papers that show full numbers.
  • Up to 12 photos per ad.

Price

  • Enter the real asking price in Pakistani rupees. A fake low price to attract clicks is not allowed.
  • If the price is open to discussion, mark it negotiable. Use "contact for price" only where a single price truly cannot be given.
  • Instalment or down-payment figures must not be entered as the full price.

What you may not advertise

Illegal, dangerous, counterfeit and stolen goods, and several kinds of service, are not allowed at all. Some categories are allowed only with conditions. The full list is on the restricted and prohibited items page. If you are not sure, ask us before you post.

Behaviour in chat and offers

  • Be polite. Abuse, threats, hate speech, harassment and sexual messages are not tolerated.
  • Do not send spam, chain messages or advertising for other things to people who contacted you about an ad.
  • Do not ask anyone for an OTP, password, PIN or card details, and do not send payment links.
  • Make offers you intend to honour. Repeated fake or insulting offers may lead to a restriction.
  • Do not use contact details from ads for any purpose other than the deal in that ad.

Reviews

  • A review must describe a real deal or booking you took part in.
  • Do not review yourself, your own business or a competitor, and do not offer or accept payment for reviews.
  • A seller or provider may reply to a review once, politely. We remove reviews that are abusive, false or off-topic.

Fair use of the site

  • Do not copy ads, photos or contact details in bulk, and do not use bots or scrapers.
  • Do not try to get around a limit, a block or a suspension by opening new accounts.
  • Do not interfere with the site, test its security without written permission, or upload malware.
  • Do not use free ads for another person's commercial stock to avoid the business limits.

How moderation works

Every ad passes automatic checks when you submit it. Depending on the result, it is published straight away or held for a person to review; some categories are always reviewed. A moderator may publish the ad, ask for changes with a note that explains what to fix, or reject it with a reason. Published ads can be reviewed again at any time, for example after a report.

What happens when rules are broken

We choose the response that fits the problem:

  • Changes requested: the ad returns to you with a note. Fix it and submit again.
  • Rejected or removed: the ad is taken down. Fees paid to promote an ad that broke the rules are not refunded (see the refund policy).
  • Restriction: posting, chat or offers may be limited for a time.
  • Suspension: for fraud, prohibited items, serious abuse or repeated breaches, the account is suspended and the phone number may be blocked from posting.
  • Report to the authorities: where the law requires it or a crime appears to have been committed.

If you think we made a mistake, reply to the moderation note or contact us with the ad link. A different member of the team will look at it again.

Reporting a problem

Use the Report button on any ad, store, provider profile or chat. Tell us briefly what is wrong. Reports are confidential: the person you report is not told who reported them. Please do not misuse reports against competitors.

Changes to these rules

We update the rules when the law, the site or the tricks of bad actors change. The date at the top shows the latest version. Continuing to post after a change means you accept it.

Seen something wrong?Open the ad or chat and press Report. Reports go straight to our moderation team.

Common questions

All FAQs
How long does my ad stay live?

45 days from the day it is published. We remind you before it ends, and you can renew it from your account if the item is still available.

Why is my ad "in review"?

Every ad is checked before it appears. Many go live at once; some wait for a person on our moderation team, and ads in categories such as property and animals are always reviewed by a person.

My ad says "changes requested". What should I do?

Open the ad in your account and read the note. Fix what it asks, such as the category, a photo or contact details in the text, and submit again. You do not need to post a new ad.

How many photos can I add?

Up to 12 per ad. Use your own photos of the actual item, taken in good light, and include any faults.

Can the AI write my ad?

Yes. Add photos or a short line and the AI ad creator drafts a title, category and description. It leaves out anything a photo cannot prove, such as PTA status or mileage, and you must check every line before you submit.

Can I post the same item in two cities or categories?

No. One item, one ad. Duplicate ads are removed. Choose the city where the item actually is and the category that fits it best.
